This place is amazing for burgers with Tommy sandwiches and chili fries, but it's also a hidden gem for breakfast burritos. Lucky boys down the street is much more well known, but this place also has a solid offering if you're looking for a hefty burrito after a hike or just a treat on the weekend. There's a small parking lot and the service is quick and convenient, but it's pretty bare Bones so I wouldn't expect anything special. Sometimes you just want a good value and simple ambiance to get your breakfast in though and this is the spot for that
Breakfast burrito + green sauce = happiness I haven't been to Pharo's in years so I can't speak to the customer service, location, or the other food items, but my mom has recently been bringing me their breakfast burritos and they're so good that I've started to crave them. The burrito itself is solid and filling with the perfect ratio of potato, egg, bacon (which I don't feel like they skimp on), and cheese but it's the salsa (specifically the green one) that brings it to the next level. For me, it's the perfect amount of spice--the kind that adds lots of flavor with minimal heat. As someone with a moderate spice tolerance, I would say that it's not even spicy. It's so good, I would drink it straight. Would definitely ask for a second or even third container if you get the burrito--trust me, you'll want more.
Bill and Tas are the best!! They've been here forever and for good reason. Everything is made fresh! I have to stop myself from getting the zucchini fries everytime I'm in the city. Definitely get Zucchini fries, fried mushrooms and the classic cheeseburger!
What I Ordered: -Breakfast Burrito with Bacon $10.39 -Gyro $9.29 Pro Tip: Pay cash and Save $. If you pay with your card, you'll pay approx. 3.5% more than cash. It is in your best interest to pay cash! This was my first time coming to Pharo's. I read in an article in SFGate about how Pharo's has stayed in business for several years despite be open directly across the street from a very busy In-N-Out. I always love supporting local mom-and-pop joint. I knew I had to give it a shot. I love their unique lighthouse sign as well! I didn't know what to order per usual. I was told that the Breakfast Burritos, Burgers and Gyros are popular. I was bit hungry. I opted to order the Breakfast Burrito with Bacon and the Gyro. The Breakfast Burrito with Bacon was very good and good sized portion for price. The cheese had a nice sharp cheddar taste to it, which was nice. They didn't skimp on the Bacon. My order was too much food even for a big guy like me. I ended up eating the whole Gyro and 1/2 of the Breakfast Burrito. I heated up the Breakfast Burrito the next morning and it still tasted great. This might be my new go-to breakfast burrito spot close to home. The Gyro was good. The tzatziki was good as well. It was stuffed with onions and some tomatoes as well. The pita tasted very soft and fresh. This Gyro is real deal. I don't think you can find a better Gyro anywhere else in the area. I really wanted to try the Fried Mushrooms as that's apparently a bestseller as well. I will have to try a burger as well as they are Pharo's Burgers after all. I always say order the food that's in the name of the restaurant and you can't go wrong. My only complaint is the lack of salsa and hot sauce with the burrito. I'm a newbie to this place. Perhaps, I didn't look in the right place as I'm not one of their regulars who know where to look for it. Other than that, this place is a great no frills kind of joint! I will be back very soon!
Have their own parking lot Lots of options to sit inside and outside Prices listed are credit card prices. If pay with cash, it's 4% cheaper. Serve breakfast burritos all day Breakfast burrito ($10.39) choice of ham, bacon, sausage or chorizo. Decent size. With eggs, cheese, some sliced potatoes. No beans. Seasoned appropriately. It's good, not as special as Top's
